Description of Specimen
The specimen shows an enlarged spleen cut to display a diffuse infiltration by white tumour tissue;
this tissue has a suet like appearance suggestive of Hodgkin's disease. The capsule of the spleen
has been raised at several points by blood clot suggesting that this was a splenectomy specimen.
