Description
The spinal cord is grossly expanded by a tumour which is ovoid in outline and at one pole shows
areas of haemorrhage and necrosis. Histologically this was reported as an astrocytoma. The size
of the vertebral bodies indicates that this tumour is in the cervical cord.
