Description
The specimen is a coronal section through the mid-area of the brain together with portion of the
skull. There is a circumscribed tumour present extending into the bone and downwards into the
right cerebral hemisphere.
History
The patient was admitted with a left hemiparesis of two weeks' duration. A brain scan
showed a tumour extending into the vault of the skull; this was regarded as inoperable. The
histology is that of a meningioma.
