Description
There are numerious petechial haemorrhages to be seen in the brain stem and to a lesser degree
in the cerebral hemispheres.
History
This elderly woman, with a history of raised blood pressure and of Parkinson's disease,
fell and broke the neck of her right femur three days before she died. At autopsy, fat emboli were
demonstrated in lung and in brain.
