Description
The lower pole of the kidney is hydronephrotic and one distended calyx contains caseous material.
The hydronephrosis, in this instance, is secondary to ureteric obstruction, which is tuberculous in
nature, which led to ureteric transplant; this failed and ultimately the kidney was removed.
