Description
This is a slice taken from the centre of the left lung showing multiple caseous areas up to 5cm
across. The largest of these in the apex of the lower lobe is cavitated. There was little evidence of
reactive fibrosis, although there is some pleural thickening particularly at the apex of the upper
lobe.
