Slightly enlarged uterus cut to show an IUD incompletely penetrating the muscular wall.
History
Device inserted six weeks post-partum in September 1977, without difficulty and there
was no pain at any time. Two months later examination showed no abnormality, twelve months
later presented with very heavy periods and uterus was removed.
