Description
The outline of the testis is preserved as is that of the epididymis, but no normal testicular tissue can
be seen. The testis is haemorrhagic and shows areas of necrosis.
History
This man was admitted with bilateral epididymo-orchitis which failed to settle on
antibiotics. Both testes were found to be gangrenous at operation and were removed.
